Guide to Condition Ratings

A guide to our condition ratings for photographs, lobby cards, and half-sheet or larger posters...

Excellent.  No defects noted (what some sellers call mint, like new, or perfect condition).

Very Good.  No more than two small defects affecting the image area.  Border may show some wear or use such as bumped or folded corners, creases or wrinkles, pinholes, light stains, or possibly small paper loss from edge.  Border defects could be covered by matting and framing.

Good.
  Main image area showing some evidence of use or wear - may have soft dints (impressions), or light surface scratches.  Border may show wear such as bumped or folded corners, creases or wrinkles, light stains, or possibly small paper loss.  Border defects could be covered by matting and framing.

Average.
  Main image area showing standard evidence of use or wear - may have dints (impressions), soft folds or bends, surface scratches, or light stains.

Fair. 
Main image area shows obvious defects as above, but more of them, or may also have short tears or rips.

Poor.
  Significant defects present in the image area, such as large tears (possibly repaired), paper loss, heavy staining, multiple folds or creases.
